Josué is a third-generation coffee farmer, growing up in the same area where he now has a farm. Josué has had quite a journey to get to where he is now. Coffee farming was always a struggle for Josue's family, and he was only able to finish the 9th grade.
Josué worked in coffee for several years but struggled. In 2016, he decided there wasn’t a future for him in Honduras and attempted to emigrate, but did not make it to the US. Upon his return, his father gave him a small plot of land. This land became his new coffee farm.
He sees specialty coffee as the only way forward. He struggled to produce and sell specialty coffee for years. Josué didn’t give up, and in 2022 broke through and connected to the Honduran Coffee Alliance and placed 21st in the Cup of Excellence. Now, he is able to process and sell this amazing naturally processed micro-lot for us to enjoy.
He is excited to continue to grow and sell excellent coffee.

Just opening the bag had me thinking of a peanut butter and jelly on wheat. Berries, nuts, and grain. That extends to the flavor. I wrote down "jam" three different times. Caramel undertones. It's like a big, bold, juicy red wine. Definitely a great coffee to brighten your day.
