Tanzania - Washed Simba

NEEL AND KAVITA VOHORA

Simba, the Lion King, or in this case the Coffee King.

This is a washed Simba, a varietal from Karatu, Tanzania, produced by siblings Neel and Kavita Vohora on their Gaia Farm. This is a coffee that "main character energy." It's brother and sister may be Gesha's and an SL-28, but the washed Simba is no black sheep of the family.

This Simba stands on it's own two legs, on its own merit. Taste the terrior. A dessert like treat with notes of mango, peach, and Belgian chocolate.

Neel and Kavita Vohora, a powerhouse sibling duo growing coffee along the southern slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest unbroken caldera, and a living, breathing miracle carved into the Tanzanian highlands. They’ve been farming here for decades, on about 1000 acres of heaven near Karatu in the Rift Valley, a place that feels like the Earth whispering its oldest stories.

Simba - Coffee King

This is a fermented natural “Simba” variety coffee from Karatu, Tanzania, produced by siblings Neel and Kavita Vohora on their Gaia Farm. The flavor profile alludes to the Ethiopian origin of the cultivar, with a plethora of stone fruit sweetness and hints of sweet florality and pleasant herbaceousness. It’s dessert-like with “main character energy.” We taste plum, black tea, nectarines, and Milky Way and chocolate.
