Halo Beriti Washing Station was established in 2014 and serves 750 smallholder producers, who deliver their coffee in cherry form.

This particular lot is part of a "special preparation" in which hand-sorting was done repeatedly throughout the receiving and drying process, ensuring that only perfect coffees made it into the bags.

Typically farmers in this region don't have access to and therefore do not utilize fertilizers or pesticides in the production of coffee.

Excellent Regular Coffee

One of the most drinkable coffees I've ever had. You go for another sip only to realize you've already hit the bottom of the mug. The nose has some dark chocolate and a pinch of sugar. The flavor is very comforting and familiar. Hints of plum, sugar, and almond over a medium body. Gentle tannins make each sip feel refreshing. If I was stuck on a desert island with just one 20lb bag of coffee to wake up to every morning, this would be a strong contender.

The dark chocolate flavor and aroma hits perfectly. An excellent yirgacheffe! Ordered a second bag and sent it to a friend that all appreciates superior coffee.
