The Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia is the motherland of specialty coffee. Yirgacheffe coffee is coveted for its high quality and balanced floral notes. This is high altitude region of Ethiopia has the perfect terroir for coffee plants thrive. The high altitude produces dense beans which translates to a very flavorful cup. Ethiopian Landraces cover the mountains of Yirgacheffe like a wool blanket. A landrace is an heirloom coffee varietal (tree) native to Ethiopia.
